Sound Doctor JUN is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our sound level measurement application.
1. Information We Collect
The developer does not operate a measurement server. Sound analysis stays on your device. Advertising is provided by Google.
1.1 Data processed on your device
- Microphone audio: Used only in real time for sound-level analysis. Audio is not saved as files and is not uploaded to our servers.
- Settings: Calibration offsets and preferences stored in app local storage (may be included in Android backup).
- Screenshots: Saved on the device only when you tap capture. We do not receive those images.
1.2 Data processed by Google AdMob / Play services (third party)
- Advertising ID and similar identifiers
- Device and app data used to serve, measure, and (where allowed) personalize ads
- Approximate location may be inferred by Google from IP address
- Diagnostics / ad interaction data
This is sharing with Google for advertising. We do not sell your information. See Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps.
1.3 Permissions
- Microphone: Required for the core sound-measurement feature.
- Internet: Used for ads over HTTPS.
- Storage (Android 9 and below): Optional, only to save screenshots.
2. How We Use Your Information
- On-device sound measurement and display
- Storing calibration and UI preferences locally
- Showing ads via AdMob (Google may use data as described above)
3. Sharing
- Google (AdMob / Play services): Advertising identifiers and ad-related data are processed by Google when ads are requested. In the EEA/UK, consent is collected via Google UMP where required.
- Measurement audio and SPL values are not sent to the developer.
4. Data Security
- Measurement processing is local
- No audio files are created or transmitted by the app
- Ad and consent traffic uses HTTPS (cleartext HTTP is not permitted)
5. Data Retention
- App settings and calibration data are retained until you uninstall the app
- AdMob data retention follows Google's privacy policy
- You can clear app data through your device settings at any time
6. Your Rights
- Revoke microphone or storage in system settings
- Clear app storage in system settings (removes local calibration)
- EEA/UK: use in-app Privacy options (when shown) to change ad consent
- Opt out of ad personalization in Google account / device ads settings
This app has no user accounts. We cannot remotely delete on-device settings; uninstalling the app removes them.
7. Children
This app is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). It is a reference tool for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
